After 30 years we go back to our original ‘Hero’ jacket pattern available to yours truly! Made to order using the original patterns created by master craftsman Peter Botwright for Harrison Ford back in 1980, the Wested Leather HERO Jacket is as close as you can come to the real thing... unless you steal one from the Smithsonian Museum or the Lucasfilm Archive, neither of which we recommend.
The jacket carries the original ‘Leather Concessionaires’ label and differs in fit from the modern easy fit ‘Wested’ Raiders jacket that we sell today and does not fit like a regular jacket. The jacket has no inside facings enabling the nickel zip to go right to the bottom of the jacket but may result in a wavering effect. The collar is cut so it hangs off the back neck. The oversize shoulder width means the sleeves are set off the shoulder and are narrower and tapered. The inside pocket is a leather welt type with a single antique brass buckle for the side straps.

I'm so in love with this jacket
I'm so in love with this jacket since i got it that now i wish i lived in a colder place than Tenerife so i could wear it everyday! It took a few days for DHL couriers to deliver it but in Wested they contacted them and i got it the very next day. The jacket is very well made and tailored, leather is buttery smooth and beautiful and in wested they were easy to contact and quick on the responses. I must have some mental disorder or something because now i'm planning to get a Last crusade one in pre distressed leather... as if in Tenerife we had a weather to have two jackets in your closet!
Great, original jacket
I have the jacket for a short time now, and I am very happy that I can wear the Indiana Jones jacket from the original maker. It feels and looks great, and actually I am using it everytime I am leaving the house.
I noticed that the curve of the right bag is a little bit different than on the left one. I don't know if that was on purpose, I just noticed that randomly. And unfortunately, I noticed that shorthly after I got this, the younger legacy model was coming out, with the original studs and buckles that brings it even closer to the movie jacket, than this model. Thought that this one already had all original parts.
But anyway, the jacket itself is great and who knows, maybe this can be upgraded.
Dark brown, textured, soft, but thick enough, this leather is a dream and resembles the movie jacket immensely, so much so I find myself rubbing my chin, wondering the weight of imaginary golden idols.
I have just received my Special Raider ´Hero' Jacket in pre-distress Lambskin and it is FANTASTIC! It is perfect,fits like a glove and with it I bought the shirt and pants and whip now I am ready very cool. Do not hesitate this is THE place to buy your next jacket, it took only 1 week before I received my jacket now that is good service and quality of the product is the best to!
