The Legacy Temple of Doom Jacket.
We are very pleased and excited to release our very Special Custom Made Legacy Temple of Doom Jacket.
This jacket is made from the soft brown lambskin that we have been working on and is the closest you will get too the original in terms of colour, thickness and most of all the great undertone, so once this jacket is distressed it will look just like the original.
This jacket will come as standard in the New Original Brown Lambskin, and whilst stocks last the original Fiocchi Studs and Two-Pronged Buckles that were used on the originals, they will also come with the 100% ORIGINAL BERMANS & NATHANS LABEL which will make these very special jackets on a first come first served basis.
As Wested Leather have been in the Film & TV business for over 40 years we know that our customers do like to have a choice apart from the standard options so we are going to also offer our normal options as well to keep everybody’s options open, but if you simply want the Standard Original Option just check the drop down box.
The jacket is the most tailored of all of them and has very small pockets. it has a wide-teeth nickel zip and nickel nipple studs, the hardware used on this jacket is not used on any of our other Indy jackets. The under panel of the sleeve incorporates gussets.
The standard specifications are one leather bound inside pocket, two-way hand warmer pockets, action pleats and side vents and will come with Cotton Body & Satin Sleeves as standard.
At long last, the final word in screen accuracy from the original jacket maker.
wow. Wow. WOW! All I can say is that Wested leather has truly outdone themselves this time. I have purchased several jackets from Wested over the years in the search for the perfect Indy jacket and I believe this is my “grail” jacket. (Even though it’s a Temple of Doom jacket.) All of my online research has suggested that the majority of the filming jackets for the first three movies were made from lambskin. I have typically preferred a thicker hide like cow or horse myself, but lambskin is the one you want if you’re going for screen accuracy. Specifically, the lambskin used in this jacket. I have another Indy jacket in shrunken lamb which I like very much, but this lambskin feels just a bit more substantial and heavy. The color is perfect as well, being that rich dark brown color so sought after by many of us Indy fans. This jacket also lacks any leather facing on the inside, which is true to the original filming jackets. They even offer the correct two-pronged buckles featured on the Temple jackets! Bear in mind, if the idea of small holes being poked in the side straps over time bothers you, you can get regular black buckles. You can’t see the prongs anyways. Again however, the two-pronged buckles ARE what were on the original filming jackets for Temple of Doom if you’re after total screen accuracy. The icing on the cake is the Berman and Nathan’s label. This added touch makes the jacket feel just a little bit more unique and gives you that special connection to the film. There are VERY few other places where you can buy a jacket that is as true as possible to what you see on the big screen. You will also find these “other” jackets to be priced far above what Wested is asking. I know that Wested did not make the make the original filming jackets for Temple of Doom, but their patterns are based off of an original. However, when you consider that Wested actually made the jackets for Raiders & Last Crusade, how screen accurate this jacket is, and the reasonable price, why would you go anywhere else? Long live Wested Leather. Thank you for all that you do for Indiana Jones fans around the world.
